Glorious History, Numerous Alumni, Industrial Driving Force, Cradle of Enterprises
NTUT founded in 1912, is the oldest university of technology in Taiwan. Its teaching emphasizes practical application, and over the past century it has cultivated numerous influential entrepreneurs and scholars. More than 10 percent of the chairpersons and CEOs of publicly listed companies in Taiwan are alumni of Taipei Tech. In surveys of employers’ preferred universities, Taipei Tech consistently ranks first among institutions in the technical and vocational system, earning strong trust from industry.
The main campus is located in the center of Taipei City, adjacent to the Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Station and the Guanghua commercial district, at the core of Taipei’s industrial and cultural corridor. The campus features abundant greenery and rich learning resources, including digitally equipped classrooms, cloud-based learning environments, and a library with warm wooden interiors and a strong academic atmosphere, all designed to provide students with an excellent learning environment.
At the Forefront of Design Education in Taiwan
The College of Design integrates innovative disciplines such as landscape, architecture, engineering, product, interior, and furniture. In the field of “Architecture,” it ranks among the top 51-100 in the QS World Rankings. Students are also frequent winners of various design awards, winning numerous awards each year at the German Red Dot and iF International Design Awards, known as the “Oscars of the Design World,” ranking among the top three universities in the world.
Most Preferred Graduates by Employers
Our university was the first in the nation to pioneer and fully implement a mandatory internship system, requiring each student to complete at least 320 hours of internship during their studies. Students have accumulated sufficient practical experience before graduation. Therefore, our graduates are highly sought after across all sectors, boasting an impressive employment rate of 95%. Their exceptional employability has consistently led our institution to be voted as the ‘Most Preferred University by Employers’ year after year.
International Certification, Quality Assurance
All engineering and architecture departments at our university have successfully obtained IEET International Accreditation. Academic qualifications are recognized by Washington Accord member countries (including Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, etc.). Our College of Management has also achieved AACSB accreditation, a gold standard that guarantees academic excellence and ensures our graduates possess a competitive edge in the global market.
International Engagement
Our university has established sister school and academic research cooperation relationships with many of the world’s top universities and academic institutions. We provide students with diverse opportunities for overseas exchange programs, international collaborations, and participation in international organizations, fostering their global perspective and international mobility.

I believe that the curriculum of Taipei Tech emphasizes the connection between theory and practice. In addition to hiring top experts in the industry to co-teach, there are also sufficient off-campus internship resources. The professors in the department also encourage students to submit articles to domestic and international design competitions, related seminars, and journals, and take the works submitted by students seriously and give suggestions.
During my studies, I won many domestic and international awards such as “SIGGRAPH Asia 2021 – Best Online Demonstration Award” and “Vision Get Wild: Interdisciplinary Category – Honorable Mention.” Due to the solid skills training and excellent performance during my time at the school, I received job opportunities from many companies after graduation.

Each room provides telephone and internet services, and is equipped with basic furniture such as desks, chairs, desk lamps, and wardrobes. Dormitory fees must be paid at the beginning of the semester. Each room is equipped with air conditioning (you must buy an air conditioning card for NTD 500 each). The following is detailed information on accommodation fees. This fee does not include accommodation during winter and summer vacations.

Accommodation is guaranteed for the first two years; starting from the third year, however, placement is determined by a lottery system. Therefore, students should be prepared to seek off-campus housing from their third academic year onwards.
— In the first academic year, new international students are guaranteed accommodation mainly in the “East Campus Dormitory.” In the second academic year, male international students are guaranteed accommodation mainly in the “New Taipei Dormitory,” and female international students are guaranteed accommodation mainly in the “Nangang Dormitory.”
— Application Process: Upon confirming their enrollment, new students may indicate their housing preference simultaneously while responding to the Letter of Intent.
