Information
CMU was founded in 1958, It is Taiwan’s first institution dedicated to the education and research of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Nestled in the vibrant Beitun District in Taichung City, CMU’s main campus is surrounded by a lively urban environment while offering a serene, green setting that fosters learning, research, and innovation. In 2003, CMU took a major leap, transforming from a specialized college into a comprehensive university that blends the strengths of Chinese and Western medicine in its educational approach. China Medical University Hospital, established in 1980, has grown into a comprehensive healthcare system throughout Taiwan, providing high-quality medical services and an enriching environment for clinical teaching. Subsidy Content
1. Full tuition waiver for Ph.D. students from 1st to 4th academic years.
2. Full tuition waiver for Master’s students for the 1st academic year.
Living Allowance
1. Ph.D. students will receive a living allowance of NTD 20,000 per month in the first academic year; from the second academic year onwards, the advisor will provide a monthly allowance of NTD 20,000.
2. Master’s students will be selectively awarded a living allowance of NTD 10,000 per month in the first academic year. Those who do not receive the school’s allowance will receive a monthly allowance of NTD 10,000 from their advisor.
Application Requirements
Foreign students, overseas Chinese students, or Hong Kong and Macao students who are admitted in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s “Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan,” “Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan,” or “Regulations Regarding Hong Kong and Macao Residents Undertaking Studies in Taiwan” and meet the following requirements:

Application Requirements
1. Applicants who have not received the Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC) Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship in the current academic year.
2. Overseas Chinese students and Hong Kong/Macao students currently enrolled in domestic colleges or universities. Applicants must be in their second year or above for undergraduate and graduate programs, and fourth year or above for junior college programs. First-year undergraduate students may apply only if they graduated from the Overseas Preparatory Program, and their transcripts must clearly list conduct grades for both the first and second semesters.
3. Conduct grades for each semester must be Grade A or 80 points or above.
Bursary for overseas Chinese students

Application Requirements
1. Overseas Chinese students studying in Taiwan in accordance with the Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students in Taiwan, excluding graduate students, students extending their study period, students in the preparatory class and special Mandarin language tutoring class of the National Taiwan Normal University Overseas Chinese Preparatory School who are repeating a grade.
2. Overseas Chinese students in their second year or above must have an average passing grade for the entire academic year of the previous academic year and have not received any demerit or higher punishment at the university or college.

Application Requirements
1. Apply to the overseas embassy (see attachment for jurisdiction) according to the announced guidelines and application form.
2. The overseas embassy will conduct a preliminary review.
3. The overseas embassy will submit the preliminary review list, and the Overseas Community Affairs Council will approve and issue an award letter and announce it to the public.
4. The overseas embassy will forward the award letter and confirm the admitted school with the awarded student and submit it to the Overseas Community Affairs Council.
5. After the awarded student registers and reports to the school in Taiwan, the school will submit the awarded student’s information to the Overseas Community Affairs Council, and the Overseas Community Affairs Council will allocate the scholarship to the school for transfer.

Financial Technology:
Under the impact of the global financial technology trend, traditional financial services are facing unprecedented challenges. Various innovative financial technology services and business models have emerged in response. In recent years, innovative technologies such as blockchain and smart contracts have also begun to subvert traditional financial practices. Countries have invested in this field, which has become an important focus of the next wave of financial service defense. In order to actively promote industry-academia cooperation, patent technology transfer, intellectual property application and innovation incubation, international industry-academia, and extension education, the school has established the Industry-Academia Operation Office as a first-level unit of the school, and has established 2 groups and 1 center under the “Industry-Academia Cooperation Group”, “Special Technology Transfer Group” and “Innovation Incubation Center”.
