Connection with the community – Improving the environment for mushroom cultivation
In recent years, mushrooms have been affected by climate change, causing the hyphae to be subjected to heat stress during growth, preventing the hyphae from growing, which in turn has led to a decline in mushroom production. Through the Ministry of Education’s USR program “Central Taiwan Mushroom Industry Creation and Sustainable Management Improvement Plan”, our school assists in improving the difficulty of mushroom cultivation and monitors growth environment data.
Mainly monitoring growth conditions for two different environments: the new water curtain technology field and the traditional field. In 2023, sensors were installed in three fields to monitor relevant environmental factors such as sunlight, humidity, and altitude, collect relevant data, and construct optimal growth conditions, using technology and agriculture to go hand in hand.
In addition, the relevant growth data of the water curtain field is compared with the traditional field, providing data on the relevant growth conditions of mushroom farmers, thereby increasing the production capacity of mushrooms and reducing the impact of environmental factors.
Connection with the community – Industry-academia collaboration with hospitals
NCUT collaborates with the Minimally Invasive Spine and Joint Center of Taichung Tzu Chi Hospital to promote social health and well-being in terms of spine-related health issues. Our school signed a memorandum of cooperation with the National Army Taichung General Hospital and jointly implemented the “Precision Exercise Instructor Training and Sarcopenia Screening Service Program for Older Adults” to promote health and well-being and exert influence.
Connection to the community – Eliminate food waste
In 2021, in order to promote the concept of “Serve with care, eat without waste” and link the “Enterprise and Humanities” course, professors from the Department of Business Administration of our school collaborated with Yingxi Precision Industry, Cultural Righteousness Education Foundation, the USR Program of the Ministry of Education of the School of Management (Smart Innovation Local Practice – Loquat and Lychee to Celebrate a Prosperous Era) and the Qinyi Yunus Social Enterprise Center to produce overproduced pineapples into jam and enzymes to reduce leftover food waste and cultivate students’ social problem-solving skills.

Introduction
Global Recognition and Academic Excellence
Celebrating its 65TH anniversary, Feng Chia University (FCU) stands as one of Taiwan’s most prestigious and long-standing private institutions. Dedicated to staying ahead of global trends, the university has secured IEET accreditation for all engineering departments and AACSB international certification for its College of Business. To further its commitment to global education, FCU established the International School of Technology and Management (ISTM), offering innovative dual-degree programs that provide students with a truly international academic pathway.
Synergetic Industry Partnerships and Career Empowerment
FCU maintains a robust network of alliances with leading corporations, alumni-led enterprises, and multinational firms across Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and China. By bridging academic learning with corporate resources, we offer students unparalleled internship opportunities and international mobility. To date, nearly 500 domestic and international companies have signed industry-academia agreements, creating over 1,200 internship positions. These opportunities—such as our specialized programs with global footwear leaders—allow students to gain hands-on experience in production bases worldwide, ensuring they are career-ready and competitive in the international job market.
Strategic Hub: A Modern Campus in the Heart of Taichung
Feng Chia University is a cosmopolitan campus where cutting-edge information technology meets international diversity. Located in the heart of Taichung City, the university is strategically adjacent to the Shuinan Smart City, Taichung Science Park, and Taichung Industrial Park, fostering a seamless link between education and industry. Beyond academics, our students enjoy a vibrant lifestyle, being minutes away from the famous Feng Chia Business District, the National Taichung Theater, and the Qiu Honggu Ecological Park. In terms of connectivity, the campus is conveniently located near the Wuri High-Speed Rail Station and major highways. Furthermore, Taichung International Airport is just a 30-minute drive away, making FCU an ideal and accessible destination for international students and travelers alike.

Highlights
Career Combat Power: Bridging Academia and Industry
We are excited to introduce first-class industries to our campus, collaborating with TSMC to offer four specialized semiconductor courses. These courses will be taught by both teachers and industry mentors working together. Students can select courses based on the curriculum plan and will receive a TSMC curriculum certificate upon completing the requirements, allowing them to connect with the workforce in advance.
Additionally, our university is a proud member of the AI Alliance. In addition to the AI courses offered on our campus, students can actively apply to take courses from alliance schools. This provides access to a wealth of AI learning resources and effectively addresses the current shortage of industry talent, as our faculty members specializing in AI are fully engaged.
Prime Location: The Heart of Central Taiwan
Located near the Feng Chia business district, this area offers complete living facilities and convenient transportation, as well as abundant part-time learning opportunities. It has also been voted the “Best University for Living Functions” in an online poll.
Curriculum Innovation – Mix & Match of Different Majors, Free Selection, Autonomous Combination
Mix & Match of different majors, free selection, autonomous combination.
