Chung Shan Medical University

Founded in 1960, CSMU, guided by the spirit of “Honesty, Love, Excellence, Diligence,” is committed to constructing a medical university that values both humanities and respect for life, with a focus on medical and humanistic development. It aims to cultivate outstanding medical professionals who respect patient rights, provide the best medical services, and possess extensive medical knowledge.

CSMU’s affiliated hospital is equipped with high-tech instruments and has received the National Biotechnology and Medical Care Quality Award. It is a well-known medical center in central Taiwan, providing students with an excellent professional internship environment and promoting clinical research and development. In recent years, the university has continued to actively update its buildings and strengthen its facilities to improve the quality of learning and research.

CSMU has many outstanding alumni who are mainly dedicated to the medical field worldwide. In addition, many alumni have played crucial roles in the leadership of various fields, such as the Minister of Health and Welfare, the Mayor of Kaohsiung, the Mayor of Taichung, legislative members of the parliament, and chairpersons in the fields of medicine and dentistry.

International Exchange and Cooperation

In order to cope with globalization and enhance competitiveness, in addition to attracting outstanding students from different regions to study at CSMU, we have also signed academic agreements and exchanges with more than 40 well-known universities in the United States, Japan, China, Europe, and Asia. It makes full use of the original teaching and research resources of each school, strengthens inter-school exchanges, and cooperates with the characteristic development of each school to build a cooperative resource platform, construct an international campus, and then achieve the purpose of international exchange and cooperation, with the ultimate goal of cultivating talents with an international perspective and becoming a world-class medical education and important medical center.

Transportation

A newly constructed multi-purpose complex building will soon be put into operation, featuring a food court, student dining facilities, and a large international conference hall. Combined with CSMU’s prime location at the intersection of Taiwan Railway, MRT, and High-Speed Rail stations, the campus enjoys exceptional transportation convenience, which also contributes to the development of the surrounding community. The area around CSMU is well equipped with department stores, large retail outlets, cinemas, restaurants, and parks, offering excellent convenience for both daily living and leisure activities.
