From university to master’s to Ph.D., in addition to previously winning the Ministry of Education’s “Vocational Light”, he won two gold medals at the invention exhibition in 2019 and is now an assistant professor in the Department of Information and Communication Engineering at this university.
It is commendable that Lin Zi-yi, a doctoral student at Chaoyang, won two gold medals at the 2019 Malaysia ITEX International Invention Innovation Technology Exhibition. His independently completed “Automatic Optical Inspection Device and Inspection Method for Pills” uses automatic optical inspection technology to distinguish and eliminate broken pills, pills of different sizes and types, and can inspect 360,000 pills per hour to ensure the filling quality of pills or capsules.
Another award-winning work, “Deep Image Recognition Technology for Powder Coating Production Line”, was jointly developed with Hong Cheng-xiao, a master’s student in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. It uses advanced powder coating technology to coat a 400-meter-long production line with a high temperature of over 250 degrees Celsius, effectively grasping the status of the production line and laying the foundation for smart manufacturing.

The proportion of young and elderly generations living together is low (only 11.65% of three-generation families), and the interaction opportunities between young and old have decreased, making children have a more negative image of the elderly from the appearance of the elderly; at the same time, because the elderly mostly use local languages (such as Taiwanese), it makes it difficult for children to feel close to the elderly in conversation, resulting in a sense of separation. Regardless of whether the kindergarten is transformed into a “co-kindergarten for the young and old”, the social responsibility practice axis focused on in this project is the promotion of the popularization of “intergenerational learning” characteristic courses, so that the relationship between children and the elderly can be transformed from a sense of separation to a sense of intimacy, so that children can learn the valuable life wisdom and cultural values from the elderly, and cultivate children’s life qualities of respect for the elderly and care for the elderly.

Successful cases of Hong Kong students holding associate degrees or higher diplomas to transfer credits or improve their grades
Students holding a Hong Kong Diploma of Higher Education or Associate Degree can improve their ranking and directly study in the 3rd grade after passing the university’s credit waiver review, and obtain a bachelor’s degree from our school after two years of study; and pass the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic and Vocational Qualifications review, which is equivalent to Level 5 of the Hong Kong Qualifications Framework (educational qualification meets the standard of a local Bachelor Degree)

Innovative learning, international perspective, let you enter the industry before graduation!
Maintaining the advantages of running a school, grasping international development trends, and using innovative thinking and the integration of learning and application, the college shapes the characteristics of “entering the industry before graduation” and “cross-domain learning and cross-border soaring”. Adhering to the educational philosophy of “parallel learning, research and production, and creating a win-win situation”, it combines industrial resources with teaching and research, creative ideas and innovation in professional fields such as finance, business administration, insurance finance, accounting, leisure business management, marketing and distribution, and silver-haired industry management, and conducts cross-departmental cooperation and integration to achieve professional, innovative, international, and well-rounded management talents that are most loved by the business community. (1) Cultivate students’ hands-on ability with the connotation of “learning by doing”. (2) Complete planning of learning and career maps, and open cross-departmental programs. (3) Plan overseas internships, benchmarking studies of foreign companies, international industry and academic exchanges, and provide students with channels to move towards the world. (4) Actively promote industry-academic exchanges and improve the level of industry-academic cooperation in the college. (5) Promote the “research group apprenticeship system” teaching and research academic team to improve the academic research level of the college (6) Create a “competency-oriented industry-academic chain” to cultivate students’ employability to meet industry needs.
Industry-Academia Cooperation
The “Technological Flower Discovery under Bagua Mountain” project team uses agricultural waste as a topic, and discusses the issue through design intervention. It processes grape vine agricultural waste without producing harmful substances and gases, and solves various problems caused by agricultural waste in an industrial design manner. The project team combines the school’s professional design resources, the community’s agricultural waste materials, and the industry’s professional technology to propose a number of solutions. Through action, it unites the community, industry, and students to jointly propose solutions to the problems caused by agricultural waste. In addition to turning the community’s annoying agricultural waste into products with economic value, it can also use this as a topic to promote students and industries to care about the various problems caused by agricultural waste, and share with the public the concern and understanding of environmental issues behind the products.

Introduction
International Cooperation and Exchange
The university selects students to study abroad through programs such as “Study Abroad Dreaming,” “Study Abroad Flying,” and “Study Abroad Cherishing.” In view of the changing global economy and the trend of internationalization, the university has been actively moving towards the goal of internationalization in recent years. Based on its existing advantages, it promotes international academic exchanges in related departments, actively negotiates cooperative alliances with international academic institutions, and accelerates the pace of internationalization through the exchange of professors and students, the establishment of dual degree programs with foreign universities, the recruitment of international masters and scholars, the sharing of educational resources, and the organization of international seminars.
In addition, the school also provides all-English taught international programs, participates in the preparation of international education exhibitions, and provides an internationalized learning environment through related international cooperation programs, encouraging and subsidizing students to participate in international competitions, accumulate valuable experience, and enhance students’ international competitiveness. In order to provide more students with opportunities for international exchange, we will expand the “Summer Short-term Study/Off-site Teaching” and “Summer International Summer Camp” programs.
Diverse Learning System
The university provides a complete and diverse learning system. After completing the first year of the four-year program, students can apply for a minor, double major, or transfer to another department from the second year onwards, based on their learning plans.
We also offer a variety of professional programs, cross-disciplinary expertise programs, and micro-programs, such as: Smart Machinery Cross-Domain Expertise Program, College of Engineering Smart Machinery Digital Technology Micro-Program, College of Management Management Application Digital Technology Micro-Program, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Local Creation Digital Technology Micro-Program, Artificial Intelligence Cross-Domain Expertise Program, Intelligent Machinery and Smart Manufacturing Program, Smart Innovation Automation Program, Smart Assisted Technology and Innovation Application Program, New Agriculture Smart Cross-Domain Program, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Deep Cultivation Program, Industry 4.0 Program, Industry 4.0 Smart Operation Program, Cloud Virtual Reality Integration Technology Talent Training Program, Mechatronics Program, Financial Information Program, Financial Marketing Program, Real Estate Finance and Brokerage Program, Insurance Finance Program, Securities Investment Program, Enterprise E-化 Program, and 30 other programs.
Student Dormitory
The university has three student dormitories (1 for female students and 2 for male students) and plans to build two new student dormitories. One is a seven-story student dormitory with one floor underground, and the new dormitory was completed in October 2022; the other is a nine-story student dormitory with one floor underground, which is expected to be completed in September 2024.
The dormitory is equipped with hardware facilities such as a learning resource center and a fitness experience center; in addition, the existing three dormitories and some floor spaces are built into accommodation clusters with specific attributes, including multimedia production groups, innovation and entrepreneurship groups, volunteer service groups, maker communities, and international culture groups.
After the new dormitory is completed, it will be further transformed to cooperate with the dormitory space, and lecturers, teaching assistants and material costs will be provided to promote the implementation of various activities, organize community activities or thematic learning courses, or share students’ spontaneous learning experiences. Community students will lead and encourage boarding students and students on campus to participate together, with the aim of creating a new garden for peer interaction and innovative learning.
