To promote Chinese language learning and cultural exchange among international students, the Chinese Language Center (CLC) of National Sun Yat-sen University held its 25th Annual Chinese and Taiwanese Singing Contest in 2025. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students representing Vietnam, Hungary, Poland, and other countries, creating a lively and energetic atmosphere.
This year’s contest featured a diverse range of performances and uniquely included three Mandarin learners from different countries as hosts. They hosted the entire event in Mandarin, demonstrating impressive language proficiency and confidence. Their professional and friendly hosting was highly praised by both students and faculty present.
On the evening of the event, teachers, students, and administrative staff of the CLC gathered to create a warm and joyful environment, allowing participants to showcase their talents and build friendships in a relaxed setting. The CLC emphasized that events like this not only enhance the Chinese skills of international students but also deepen their appreciation of Taiwan’s rich culture and warm hospitality.
The Chinese Language Center warmly welcomes more international students to join and participate in various exciting cultural and language activities, expanding their horizons and creating memorable study-abroad experiences at NSYSU.
