國立高雄科技大學

特色學院 (海事、海洋商務學院)

學校擁有全方位海洋專業教育、自有專屬碼頭，及全國首座「離岸風電產業海事工程菁英訓練基地」，更是國內唯一一所國立培育海洋專業人才的技職學府。畢業生就業發展方向包括海運、海防、海事工程、海洋休閒等產業。

【造船及海洋工程系】

本系為國內技職院校中唯一之造船及海洋工程系，結合高雄海港城市與船舶及海洋工程產業發展，具產業特色，全台最大之台灣國際造船公司亦位於高雄市，此外，高雄地區遊艇總產值佔全台80%，為世界排名第七，為全亞洲最大的遊艇生產地，而全世界70%的遊艇五金配件更都是由高雄港輸出，高雄的造船及海洋產業相當蓬勃，配合高雄地區之造船產業之需求，長期以來已為國家的造船產業培育許多優秀人才。國際焊接工程師、船艦工程師、遊艇工程師、機電控制工程師、結構工程師等，皆為畢業生就業方向之一。

【海洋休閒管理系】

本系課程包含運動生理學、海洋生態、水域安全與救生、帆船、水肺潛水等，也有海洋事務學程、藍色智慧創新創業學程和國際海洋商務學程供學生選擇，以海洋休閒為主，結合國際知識與法規、電子商務、物聯網等應用，讓學生未來能有多元就業方向。

除了公職之外，國內外海洋休閒事業、運動俱樂部、遊艇事業、體育事業、旅館管理、旅遊業、休憩中心、觀光事業、渡假村、主題樂園、海洋運動產業、運動健康產業等皆是本系畢業生就業之處。

【航運技術系】

本系教育目標主要為培養優秀的商船船長與船副、相關之航技教育訓練與研究人才、航運公司及海上運輸相關企業之經理人才。專業課程包括船藝學、天文航海學、救生艇筏與救難艇操縱、海圖應用、國際海事勞工公約、海上駕駛台實習等等，幫助學生考取各式證照，也讓學生畢業後容易與海運等相關企業接軌。

產學合作與學就業接軌

工學院相關科系整合教師專長，合作企業已多達百家，業界也有許多優秀校友，是學弟妹的強力後盾，學生無論是繼續升學或在職場表現均十分傑出，工作類別廣泛多元且薪資優渥。

海洋相關科系除了幫助學生考取各類證照之外，也與多家台灣航運及物流公司建立長期合作關係，有海上實習及海洋產業合作聯盟，讓學生畢業後與產業接軌。

Featured Colleges: Maritime Studies & Marine Business
NKUST offers comprehensive professional education in marine fields, its own dedicated training pier, and the nation’s first Offshore Wind Power Maritime Engineering Elite Training Base. It is also the only national technological university in Taiwan dedicated to cultivating specialized marine professionals. Career pathways for graduates include shipping, maritime security, maritime engineering, and marine leisure industries.

Department of Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering

This is the only department of its kind among technological universities in Taiwan. Leveraging Kaohsiung’s status as a major port city and a hub for shipbuilding and marine engineering, the program is closely aligned with industry development.
Taiwan International Shipbuilding Corporation—the largest shipbuilder in Taiwan—is located in Kaohsiung. The region accounts for 80% of Taiwan’s yacht production, ranking seventh globally and making it the largest yacht manufacturing base in Asia. Moreover, 70% of the world’s yacht hardware components are exported through Kaohsiung Port.
With the strong growth of local shipbuilding and marine industries, the department has long produced outstanding professionals for the nation. Career options include International Welding Engineer, Naval Architect, Yacht Engineer, Mechatronics and Control Engineer, and Structural Engineer.

Department of Marine Leisure Management

The curriculum includes exercise physiology, marine ecology, water safety and lifesaving, sailing, and scuba diving. Students may also enroll in interdisciplinary programs such as Marine Affairs, Blue Smart Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and International Marine Business.
The program integrates marine leisure with international knowledge, regulations, e-commerce, and IoT applications, preparing students for diverse career opportunities.
Graduates work in marine leisure enterprises, sports clubs, yacht industries, sports and wellness sectors, hotel and tourism management, recreation centers, resorts, theme parks, marine sports industries, and related fields, in addition to public service.

Department of Shipping Technology

The department aims to cultivate professional merchant ship captains and deck officers, as well as specialists in maritime education, training, research, and management for shipping and marine transportation companies.
Core courses include ship handling, celestial navigation, lifeboat and rescue boat operations, chartwork, the Maritime Labour Convention, and bridge simulator training. These courses help students obtain professional certifications and transition smoothly into careers in the shipping industry.

The College of Engineering integrates faculty expertise and collaborates with over a hundred partner companies. Many distinguished alumni work in industry and serve as strong mentors and supporters for current students.
