{"id":23427,"date":"2025-10-02T17:11:32","date_gmt":"2025-10-02T09:11:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.overseas.edu.tw\/pathway\/international-specialization-department-in-key-industrial-fields\/"},"modified":"2026-02-05T11:34:15","modified_gmt":"2026-02-05T03:34:15","slug":"international-specialization-department-in-key-industrial-fields","status":"publish","type":"pathway","link":"https:\/\/www.overseas.edu.tw\/en\/pathway\/international-specialization-department-in-key-industrial-fields\/","title":{"rendered":"International Foundation Program"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In order to expand the recruitment of overseas Chinese and international students in an orderly and stable manner while encouraging top talent to seek employment in Taiwan, the Ministry of Education has assisted universities in establishing &#8220;International Foundation Programs.&#8221; These programs recruit students in six key industry sectors, including <strong>manufacturing, construction, agriculture, long-term care, e-commerce<\/strong> (including <strong>information processing<\/strong>) and <strong>services industries<\/strong>. Students take <strong>1 year<\/strong> of intensive Mandarin Chinese study. Once they reach Level A2 (TOCFL) proficiency, they officially enter their chosen professional degree program. The curriculum is tailored to current industry demands and may include off-campus internships.
