Introduction
School Introduction
TUMT is one of the three universities in the country that specializes in marine development. It is a long-established maritime professional institution that has long cooperated with the government in developing marine policies. To date, it has cultivated many maritime, shipping talents, government officials, and business giants.
The school is positioned as a “Practice-oriented teaching” university. “Professionalism, Loyalty, Diligence, Perseverance, and Service” are the educational philosophies of TUMT. The learning environment with unlimited wireless network service, central air-conditioning, and professional equipment such as maritime teaching, also has the only teaching yacht wharf in Taipei City.
It currently comprises the College of Marine Affairs, the College of Health and Living, and the College of Innovative Design, with a total of three colleges and fourteen departments.

Department of Marine Sports and Leisure
The curriculum planning takes into account both academic and practical subjects, based on management practices. The curriculum includes water sports technology (windsurfing, canoeing, sailing, surfing, swimming and water rescue skills, snorkeling, scuba diving skills, kayaking, power boating), sports leisure management and water leisure recreation programs, in order to grasp the social pulse, connect with the world, meet the needs of the people for marine sports and leisure recreation, and grasp the leisure trends in the 21st century global and Taiwan.
Department of Air and Sea Logistics and Marketing Management
The department is equipped with a range of specialized facilities, including an Aviation Logistics Operations Center, a Taipei Shipping Group Simulation Company, an Air and Sea Logistics Information Center, a Digital Marketing Center, and a Global Innovation and Planning Classroom.
The planning, upgrading, and expansion of equipment are carried out in accordance with departmental development goals and students’ learning needs. Through these resources, the department strengthens students’ capabilities in air and sea transportation, logistics, global supply chain management, marketing planning, and corporate decision-making, thereby enhancing their competitiveness in future internships and employment.
