School Introduction
Taipei University of Marine Technology is one of the three universities in the country that specializes in marine development. It is a long-established maritime professional institution that has long cooperated with the government in developing marine policies. To date, it has cultivated many maritime, shipping talents, government officials, and business giants.
The school is positioned as a “practical and applied teaching-oriented” university. “Professionalism, Loyalty, Diligence, Perseverance, and Service” are the educational philosophies of Taipei University of Marine Technology. The learning environment with unlimited wireless network service, central air-conditioning, and professional equipment such as maritime teaching, also has the only teaching yacht wharf in Taipei City.
Currently, there are the College of Marine Affairs, the College of LOHAS and People’s Livelihood, and the College of Innovative Design, with a total of 3 colleges and 14 departments.

Department of Marine Sports and Leisure
The curriculum planning takes into account both academic and practical subjects, based on management practices. The curriculum includes water sports technology (windsurfing, canoeing, sailing, surfing, swimming and water rescue skills, snorkeling, scuba diving skills, kayaking, power boating), sports leisure management and water leisure recreation programs, in order to grasp the social pulse, connect with the world, meet the needs of the people for marine sports and leisure recreation, and grasp the leisure trends in the 21st century global and Taiwan.
Department of Air and Sea Logistics and Marketing Management
Currently, there are professional classrooms such as the Aviation Logistics Center, Taipei Shipping Group Simulation Company, Air and Sea Logistics Information Center, Digital Marketing Center, and Global Innovation Planning Classroom. The planning, updating, and supplementation of equipment are based on the needs of department affairs and student development to determine the future procurement scope, improve students’ ability to grasp information related to air and sea transportation, logistics, global logistics, marketing planning, and business decision-making, and improve students’ competitiveness in internships and employment in the future.
