• The College of Digital Design won 12 awards, including 2 gold and 1 silver, at the Ministry of Economic Affairs’ “2020 Vision Get Wild Award,” making it the school with the most awards this year.

• Students from the Department of Industrial Design won the German iF Design Talent Award.

• The Department of Information Management won all Excellent Awards in the “2020 Information Intelligence Innovation Transdisciplinary Project Competition,” achieving fruitful results.

• The Department of Hospitality Management won a bronze medal in the pastry category at the “2019 Kazan International Skills Competition” in Russia, bringing glory to the country.

• Students from the Department of Applied Japanese achieved excellent results in the Japanese Natsume Soseki Haiku Competition, standing out from many Japanese participants and becoming the only foreign participant to win an award.

• The Department of Electronic Engineering and the Department of Industrial Design combined AI and Design to win the championship and excellent selection in the “2019 Fresh Taiwan Design Competition.”

• Professor Li Bo-Ming of the Department of Electronic Engineering received the Outstanding Teaching Award from the Chinese Institute of Engineering Education and the Ministry of Education’s Teacher Award in 2020.

• The university has won the “Outstanding Industry-Academia Cooperation Unit” award from the Chinese Institute of Engineers for nine consecutive years, making it the university with the most awards in the country, with industry-academia performance growing year by year.

International Exchange and Cooperation

• The university has overseas study and internship foreign language training programs, providing free English and Japanese training courses, as well as study abroad and internship consultation and guidance, to help students go abroad and enhance their international perspective and employment ability.

• The university offers all-English degree programs for doctoral, master’s, and bachelor’s degrees, promotes Globish teaching, and cultivates international talents in all academic systems.

• The university has signed sister school, dual degree, internship foreign language training program, and exchange cooperation agreements with 247 internationally renowned universities in 32 countries.

• The university has a foreign language self-study center, which has established English situational teaching, a professional Live DVD learning system, an “English Courtyard,” and a “Multilingual Interpretation Training Classroom.” The advanced hardware and software equipment can provide foreign language interpretation course training and enhance foreign language learning confidence.

• Located near the center of Tainan City, there are direct flights to and from Hong Kong every day. The school is about 5 minutes away from the Daqiao Railway Station. Tainan City Bus Route 21 enters the school for shuttle service (every 30 minutes on average). The Xinyi Interchange of Sun Yat-sen Freeway and Provincial Highway No. 1 are all near the school, which not only has the simplicity and tranquility of the countryside, but also the convenience of metropolitan life.
