Three-school alliance

NTUST has established a three-university alliance with National Taiwan University and National Taiwan Normal University, and students share the teaching resources of the three universities to study courses across schools to establish a complete learning network, with the goal of becoming the world’s top joint university system.

According to the “2024 Asian University Rankings” by The Times Higher Education Special Issue (THE), NTUST has jumped significantly to 71st place, fourth in Taiwan, maintaining the first place in Taiwan in international outlook projects, and improving its research quality to fourth in Taiwan. In the “2024 World’s Best Young University Rankings”, NTUST ranked 52nd in the world, ranking second in Taiwan and first in technical and vocational schools. Among them, it continued to rank first in Taiwan in the evaluation index “International Outlook”.

According to the 2024 Asian University Rankings by QS, a British higher education research agency, NTUST ranks 74th in Asia and fifth in Taiwan. The “International Students” project ranked first in Taiwan and 63rd in Asia.

Teacher-student performance

In 2023, NTUST won three concept design awards at the Red Dot Design Awards, known as the Oscars of the design industry. At the same time, NTUST has been ranked first in the Asia-Pacific region of the Red Dot Design Rankings for three consecutive years, and its abundant design and innovation capabilities have been internationally recognized.

NTUST students are popular with companies, and according to Foresight Magazine’s 2024 Corporate Favorite College Student Comprehensive Edition Ranking, NTUST ranks third in Taiwan.

Ministry of Education Bursary for Poor Overseas Chinese Students

NTD/YR 36,000

1. Based on official overseas financial statements or certificates of financial hardship provided by overseas Chinese students.

2. For overseas Chinese students enrolled in the second year or above, applicants must have achieved a passing overall academic average for the previous academic year and must not have received any disciplinary action above a warning at colleges or universities, or above a minor demerit at senior high schools.

Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship of the Ministry of Education

NTD/YR 120,000

1. Applicants admitted through the joint placement mechanism of the Overseas Joint Admission Committee (hereinafter referred to as the “OJAC”), who rank among the top five in overall placement scores in each admission round and academic category, and whose scores place them within the top 1% of their respective category.
2. Applicants who have represented their country of residence and won gold, silver, or bronze medals in the International Olympiads in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Earth Science, or Informatics, or who have received first-, second-, third-, or fourth-place awards at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), USA.

Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee work-study subsidy for poor overseas Chinese students

2. A copy of the annual income list of the whole household certified by the parent who has settled in Taiwan and has been approved as a comprehensive income tax exemption certificate or certified by the tax unit in the previous year.
