Introduction
International Exchange and Cooperation
It has established a deep network of connections with world-renowned art schools and institutions, and invites international masters to teach and give lectures at the school. It has built a transnational and cross-border industry-academia cooperation platform, and organizes a number of national-level, integrated art and cultural research projects and performance creation activities.
Professional Teaching Equipment
It is the only school in the country with professional performance venues, namely “Three Halls, One Museum, and One Cinema”—a concert hall, a theater, a dance hall, an art museum, and a cinema—all equipped with professional facilities. 1. Accommodation Priority: Hong Kong, Macau, and overseas Chinese students are given priority for accommodation during their studies at the school.

Life Assistance: The school dormitory has a dormitory student self-government association, which is composed of senior student dormitory self-government cadres and graduate student dormitory self-government cadres who serve as student consultants and counselors, providing timely encouragement and support from environmental familiarity to peer assistance.
3. Dormitory Activities: Each semester, the dormitory student self-government association arranges self-study activities and invites students to participate, in order to enhance friendship among students, understand local life and culture, and promote students’ understanding of different regional life and cultures.

Actress and female model
Hong Kong
Born in Hong Kong, graduated from the Department of Theatre Arts at National Taipei University of the Arts, she is an actress and female model. In 2017, she starred in the viuTV TV series “Marriage is a Short Story.”
In 2019, she participated in the Taiwanese film “Detention” directed by Hsu Han-chiang, playing the role of teacher Yin Tsui-han. Due to her outstanding temperament, she has the title of “Goddess of Literature and Art” in Hong Kong. “Detention” also had ideal box office results in Taiwan and Hong Kong, making her known in both places. She was later nominated for Best Actress at the 39th Hong Kong Film Awards for her performance in “Beyond the Dream”, and won the Best Actress Award at the 4th Movie6 People’s Choice Film Awards in 2021.

Born in Guangdong and raised in Hong Kong, she graduated from the Department of Theatre Arts at National Taipei University of the Arts. She currently resides in Taiwan and is an actress.
She first came into contact with film in 2014 and served as a physical demonstration actor in the film “Three”. In 2019, she was a dancer for Sammi Cheng’s “FOLLOWMi Sammi Cheng World Tour”. In 2021, she officially debuted as an actress due to her performance in the trailer for the novel “Miracle” published by famous BL drama screenwriter Lin Pei-yu. She has participated in many well-known works, including the films “The Pig, the Snake, and the Pigeon”, “Mou Mou”, “Island Etude”, “Best Interest 2, 3” and “Q18 Quantum Prophecy”, etc.

林映暉
Female host and YouTuber
Hong Kong
Born in Hong Kong, she graduated from the Graduate Institute of Arts Administration and Management at National Taipei University of the Arts. She is a Hong Kong female host and YouTuber (channel: Faigor), mainly developing in Taiwan.
In 2022, she began hosting different travel programs produced by the TVB Taiwan Production Center. Her representative work is the TV program “Girls’ Style Trip in Nature”, and she also participated in TVB Plus’s “Taiwan Meng Meng Da” in 2024.

謝曉陽
Model, actor and curator
Hong Kong
Born in Hong Kong, currently studying at the Graduate Institute of Literary Interdisciplinary Creation at National Taipei University of the Arts, she is a poet, model, actor, curator, and performance artist with a distinct, bold, and direct style.
Her poems can be regarded as a performance of action art. Various feminine forces are often seen in the sentences, impacting the limited and hidden boundaries in the usual tangible and intangible. In “Don’t Force Me When I Have My Period”, she is like a social observer, depicting the anxiety about relationships, love, and various desires in life, like a scalpel, cutting in sharply, suturing quickly, and finally with a bit of self-deprecation. She has been funded by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council to found the “Flirtatious Recitation Festival” event, advocating the recitation of poetry in local Cantonese and performance methods.

Born in Hong Kong, currently studying in the Director Group of the Graduate Institute of Filmmaking at National Taipei University of the Arts.
His past short films “Ferry” (2017) and “Cactus” (2018) have been shortlisted for the Southern Film Festival, the Youth Film Festival, and many other Taiwanese film festivals. His directorial work “Lychee Stink Bug” was shortlisted for the 2023 New Taipei City Student Image New Star Award, the 2023 Kaohsiung Film Festival International Short Film Competition Taiwan Group, and the 2023 Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival. He is good at depicting the tragedy of the real world with realistic and poetic images.

Theater and film and television director
Hong Kong
Born in Hong Kong, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Theatre Arts Creation at National Taipei University of the Arts, she is a theater and film and television director. Her script “Drawing Ghosts” won the Merit Award at the 18th Taipei Literature Award, and she has won many literary awards, such as the City Literature Award, the Youth Literature Award, and the Baptist Literature Award. Her theater scripts have been published and performed in the Hong Kong Repertory Theatre, the Fire Thief Theatre, and the Hong Kong Pants Theatre.
Her directorial work “The Stronger” participated in the World Stage Design Exhibition WSD2017. In addition, since 2016, she has stepped into film and television creation. The short film “Cave Savage” won the Best Screenplay at the Fresh Wave International Short Film Festival (Student Group), the Outstanding Selection Award at the 2017 Kaohsiung Film Festival International Short Film Competition, and the Courage to Innovate Award at the 2017 South Taiwan Film Festival.

黃栢豪

Macau
Born in Macau, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Theatre Arts at National Taipei University of the Arts, majoring in performance.
From 2007 to 2013, he was a full-time teacher at the Macau Conservatory of Drama, teaching courses such as performance, stage language, and drama theory. The experienced Huang Baihao is known as the senior brother of Macau theater. He has participated in nearly 40 plays and has also actively participated in behind-the-scenes work in recent years, such as directing, lighting design, stage management, and performance planning and production. He has also served as a drama instructor in secondary schools and community centers.

Born in Macau, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Dance at National Taipei University of the Arts, she developed her modeling career while studying in Taiwan.
She and her twin sister Yu Xingrao participated in the DEI cover of the October 2023 issue of “VOGUE Taiwan”. The two were also invited as dancers to perform at the opening show of Taipei Fashion Week in 2021. At the end of Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2024, she stepped onto the Ottolinger X PUMA Spring/Summer series runway.

Born in Macau, currently studying in the Graduate Institute of Dance at National Taipei University of the Arts, majoring in dance creation, she is a choreographer and fashion model from Macau.
She has participated in the collaborative choreography of many important performances and exhibitions, as well as runway shows at international fashion shows, including the 2024 Fashion Interdisciplinary Performance “Famous Paintings Leap onto the Body. The ‘Dance’ After the Faun” and the 2022 Taipei Fashion Week SS22 opening show. As a creator, she presented the 2024 National Taipei University of the Arts Department of Dance Graduate Production “Girl” as a producer; as a choreographer, she hopes to tell the accumulation in daily life through her works and expand the audience’s vision of the world. As a dancer and model, she has accumulated rich experience in Taiwan and has participated in international fashion events such as Milan Fashion Week many times, cooperating with world-renowned designers and brands. With the advantages of a dancer, she continues to show herself on domestic and foreign stages and is committed to pursuing the connection between fashion and art. Yu Xingrao’s creation focuses on the intersection of dance and fashion, exploring the possibilities of body language and dance creation in cross-field cooperation.

Malaysia
Born in Malaysia, graduated from the Graduate Institute of New Media Art at National Taipei University of the Arts, she is an artist and creator.
She was shortlisted for the 18th Taishin Arts Award in 2020. Her past works have been published in Thailand, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, the United States, Germany and other places. Currently, her works mainly use mixed forms such as video, concept, and installation to explore and extend the relationship between images and image manufacturing, as well as politics and power.

郭少麒
Dance worker and choreographer
Malaysia
Born in Malaysia, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Dance at National Taipei University of the Arts, she is a dance worker and choreographer.
In 2006, she won the Best Choreographer and Best Dancer awards at the 5th Annual BOH Cameronian Arts Awards for her solo dance work “Dream Butterfly”.
In 2007, she joined Cloud Gate Dance Theatre 2 in Taiwan, performing classic dance works including Wu Guozhu’s “Fragments” and Lin Huaimin’s “Songs of the Birds”.
In 2012, she returned to Malaysia to set up a studio, began to devote herself to dance creation, and founded the Chinese dance troupe “Kylin Dancers”.
In 2018, she went to Hong Kong’s “Dance Space” dance troupe to co-dance in the play “Twelve Golden Hairpins”. Recent performances include the solo dance “Singing While Treading the Waves”, choreography and actor in the “Qin Shi Huang Musical Epic”, and dance design for the musical “Happy Hotel”.

蕭志全
Music Director of Dá Capo Voice Choir
Malaysia
Born in Malaysia, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Music at National Taipei University of the Arts, majoring in vocal performance art. He was a member of the Vocal Music Association of the Republic of China, the National Theater and Concert Hall Opera Workshop, and the Taipei Philharmonic Opera Workshop.
He has won many vocal music competition awards, including: Selected as the “2014 Newcomer of the Vocal Music Association” by the Vocal Music Association of the Republic of China in 2013, and the first prize in the Master’s and Doctoral Group of the “Chinese Art Song Competition” of the Taoyuan Rotary Club Scholarship.
After returning to Malaysia, he actively promoted music education and was invited to serve as a judge for major vocal music competitions in Malaysia. He has also participated in many national-level operas and concerts in Taiwan and Malaysia. He is currently the music director of the Dá Capo Voice Choir and teaches at the UCSI University Music Department and the Nanyang University Alumni Association Choir of Malaya.

Born in Malaysia, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts Creation at National Taipei University of the Arts, majoring in printmaking, and currently works at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts.
In 2008, she participated in the art creation of the “Interdisciplinary Art Workshop Here, There and Everywhere” by Mary Sherman, an American artist in residence at the Kuandu Museum of Fine Arts.
In 2013, she was selected to intern at the Singapore Tyler Print Institute (STPI)
In 2010, she was selected for the Czech National Print Exhibition “16. Rocniku Gelostatni Souteze Grafika Roku 2009”, and in 2012, she was selected for the “III Bienal Internacional de Grabado-Aguafuerte Provincia De Valladolid”, the Krakow International Graphic Art Triennial in Poland, the Istanbul International Print Triennial in Turkey, and the Falun International Print Triennial in Sweden.

In 2016, she won the third prize in the printmaking category of the 34th Taoyuan Fine Arts Exhibition

Born in Malaysia, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Fine Arts Creation at National Taipei University of the Arts, she is an artist and creator.
In 2018, she participated in the “2018 ART TAICHUNG Taichung Art Fair”,
In 2019, she held an acrylic creation exhibition “Noise”,
In 2020, she won the “Leap to Destiny, How to Escape-2020” Fine Arts Creation Excellence Award and the Silver Medal Award in the oil painting category of the 109th National Fine Arts Exhibition of the Republic of China. In addition, she has participated in many exhibitions.
Ye Zhishen observes the impermanence of life from the flow of time. He embodies the process of the beginning and end of time in the lines constructed by repeated physical labor. He develops a unique line creation method using the ink bucket line method used for familiar architectural foundation layout. In the continuous repeated operation, the pigment lines are stacked on the canvas. The ink bucket line connects his childhood life and the learning and work process of architectural design. The lines record time, write the spectrum, and weave colors.

柯汶利

Born in Penang, Malaysia, graduated from the Director Group of the Film Institute of National Taipei University of the Arts.
In 2014, his short film “The Free Man” won the Best Director Award for Mini-Series (TV Movie) at the 2014 Golden Bell Awards. In 2019 and 2020, he collaborated with Chen Sicheng to direct “Sheep Without a Shepherd” and “Detective Chinatown”. At the 25th Taipei Film Awards in 2023, “Silent Kill 2022” was nominated for Best Film and won the Audience Choice Award.

黃子儇

Malaysia
Born in Malaysia, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taipei University of the Arts.
The work focuses on the interrelationship between “media-field-participant”. Through the occupation, spread, coverage, deconstruction, and structure of the work, it guides the participant’s body to produce movement, trigger different levels of perception, and reshape their own cognition and imagination of space between autonomous exploration and being guided, opening up more possibilities for dialogue with the field.
In recent years, the series of projects of “Rebase” uses canvas as the main medium, trying to respond to the space or cultural context of the exhibition site through the symbolism and materiality of different canvases.
In 2019, Underground Studio was founded in Taiwan. The studio mainly engages in recycling, circular design and exhibition planning, focusing on circular design, and developing innovative projects such as Webag (recycling project), Ecobag (shared tote bag) and Underground Production US-LAB (circular design, sustainable curation, and bag brand made in Taiwan). The brand focuses on diverse issues, provides solutions through design, and reconstructs the relationship between people and the environment. It is committed to making resource reuse not only stay at the advocacy level, but integrate into everyone’s daily life. Through creating a beautiful cycle, each work carries the positive impact of society.

翁書強

Malaysia
Born in Malaysia, graduated from the Performance Group of the Graduate Institute of Theatre Arts Creation at National Taipei University of the Arts, she is an actress.
While studying in Taipei, she was selected as a cooperative actor in the Film Academy, and then started learning and working across stage and film and television. During this period, she also went to HB Studio -Uta Hagen and Atlantic Acting School in New York to study acting.
In 2015, she participated in the stage play “Dream of the Red Chamber” by Hong Kong director Lin Yihua, in 2017, she performed in the Taiwanese short film “Borrowing Things”, in 2018, she performed Shakespeare’s “Twelfth Night” at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Beijing, and in 2020, she starred in the Taiwanese thriller film “The Last Day”. In the same year, she participated in the world premiere of the stage play “Sinner” at the Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center. In 2023, she participated in the stage play “Cohabitation Time”, which was co-produced by the Cultural Group of the Representative Office in Malaysia and famous figures in the Malaysian drama industry. It was her first stage work in Malaysia.

Born in Malaysia, graduated from the Graduate Institute of Arts Administration and Management at National Taipei University of the Arts. He is a photographer and currently works for the National Symphony Orchestra as a resident photographer.
During his graduate studies, he began to engage in shooting other performance forms such as drama and film stills. In addition to performance documentaries, he also participated in shooting image photography, interview documentaries, and event documentaries. During the same period, he started a photography project back and forth to Japan due to following the Taiwan Historical Resources Management Association to participate in the Setouchi International Art Festival in Japan. Since 2013, he has been a special photographer for the Meter Saxophone Ensemble, the Bach Inspiration Music Culture Association, the National Theater and Concert Hall, the Weiwuying National Arts and Culture Center, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Evergreen Symphony Orchestra, the Taipei Symphony Orchestra, and the Taipei Chamber Singers, participating in recording press conferences, regular concerts, and domestic and foreign tours.

許鴻財

Myanmar
He is of Burmese Chinese descent and graduated from the Graduate Institute of Filmmaking at Taipei National University of the Arts. He uses the Irrawaddy River, the mother river of his hometown Myanmar, as the name of his directorship (Irrawaddy), expressing his deep dependence and love for his hometown.
He won the New Taipei City Documentary Award in 2017 and the Best Documentary Award for Student Works at the 40th Golden Harvest Awards for “Distant Land”. In 2018, “Yi Qi Shan Lin” was shortlisted for the Best Documentary Award at the 42nd Golden Harvest Awards and won the Excellent Film Award at the 2018 New Taipei City Documentary Award. In 2022, “Gong ji; Rooster” was shortlisted for the New Generation Unit of the 2022 Berlin Film Festival.

The campus is an art museum
National Taipei University of the Arts is located in Beitou District, Taipei City. The buildings along the slope are the school buildings designed by architect Li Zuyuan. The red bricks, gray walls and black tile roofs, plus the decorative lines and clock tower, have become the campus image of TNUA.

Professional performance venues
National Taipei University of the Arts not only has outstanding art talents with an international perspective and the most complete art professional departments, but also has high-standard professional performance venues such as a concert hall, a dance hall, a theater, an art museum, and a cinema. Cooperating with the Traditional Arts Research Center (referred to as the Traditional Arts Research Center), the Art and Technology Center (referred to as the Art and Technology Center), and the Performing Arts Center (referred to as the Performing Arts Center), the teaching and performances of each department can be perfectly matched, and various performance activities are constantly taking place throughout the year.
Organize international art festivals
National Taipei University of the Arts continues to organize art festivals every year (Guandu Arts Festival, Guandu Light Arts Festival, Guandu International Animation Festival and Guandu Film Festival, etc.) and related exhibition activities to deepen the local participation of the art festival, making the school an important cultural landmark in northern Taiwan, promoting art gatherings and local exchanges, and driving teaching and learning through exhibitions.
