Introduction
Glorious History, Numerous Alumni, Industrial Driving Force, Cradle of Enterprises
NTUT founded in 1912, is the oldest university of technology in Taiwan. Its teaching emphasizes practical application, and over the past century it has cultivated numerous influential entrepreneurs and scholars. More than 10 percent of the chairpersons and CEOs of publicly listed companies in Taiwan are alumni of Taipei Tech. In surveys of employers’ preferred universities, Taipei Tech consistently ranks first among institutions in the technical and vocational system, earning strong trust from industry.
The main campus is located in the center of Taipei City, adjacent to the Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Station and the Guanghua commercial district, at the core of Taipei’s industrial and cultural corridor. The campus features abundant greenery and rich learning resources, including digitally equipped classrooms, cloud-based learning environments, and a library with warm wooden interiors and a strong academic atmosphere, all designed to provide students with an excellent learning environment.
Leading Taiwan in the field of design
The College of Design integrates innovative disciplines such as landscape, architecture, engineering, product, interior, and furniture. In the field of “Architecture,” it ranks among the top 51-100 in the QS World Rankings. Students are also frequent winners of various design awards, winning numerous awards each year at the German Red Dot and iF International Design Awards, known as the “Oscars of the Design World,” ranking among the top three universities in the world.
Most Popular Graduates with Enterprises
Our university is the first among universities to implement an internship system, requiring each student to complete at least 320 hours of internship during their studies. Students have accumulated sufficient practical experience before graduation. Therefore, graduates are highly favored by all sectors, with an employment rate of up to 95%. The excellent employment ability of graduates has also made our university repeatedly elected as the most popular university among enterprises.
International Certification, Quality Assurance
All engineering departments and the Department of Architecture have passed IEET international certification. Academic qualifications are recognized by Washington Accord member countries (including Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, etc.). Our College of Management has also passed AACSB certification, ensuring the quality of academic education and enabling our graduates to have international competitiveness.
International Connectivity
Our university has established sister school and academic research cooperation relationships with many of the world’s top universities and academic institutions, and provides students with opportunities to study abroad as exchange students, participate in international cooperation and exchanges, and participate in international organization activities, cultivating students’ international perspective and international mobility.

I believe that the curriculum of Taipei Tech emphasizes the connection between theory and practice. In addition to hiring top experts in the industry to co-teach, there are also sufficient off-campus internship resources. The professors in the department also encourage students to submit articles to domestic and international design competitions, related seminars, and journals, and take the works submitted by students seriously and give suggestions.
During my studies, I won many domestic and international awards such as “SIGGRAPH Asia 2021 – Best Online Demonstration Award” and “Vision Get Wild: Interdisciplinary Category – Honorable Mention.” Due to the solid skills training and excellent performance during my time at the school, I received job opportunities from many companies after graduation.

Emphasis on practical teaching, implementation of the internship system, and the most popular graduates with enterprises
In order to seamlessly connect students with enterprises, NTUT has created a number of characteristic laboratories with equipment synchronized with the industry, laying the foundation for students’ technology through practical teaching. At the same time, it took the lead in the country to stipulate that students must intern in the industry for at least 2 months before graduation, so that students are familiar with the operation mode of the industry before graduation and have sufficient practical experience, which is deeply welcomed by the industry.
Abundant alumni resources in all walks of life, a good reputation as a traditional powerhouse, and success in adding points to resumes
NTUT is the oldest university of science and technology, and has cultivated countless industrial and commercial talents. 10% of the founders, directors, and CEOs of small and medium-sized enterprises are alumni of NTUT. Therefore, the school often invites well-known alumni from all walks of life to return to the school to share their success stories. In addition to being able to often hear the experience sharing of alumni during school, it is also easy to get the promotion of alumni in various industries after graduation.
Internationalized campus, cultivating international mobility
NTUT has about 12,000 students, of which more than 1,000 international students come from more than 50 different countries around the world. It is an internationalized learning environment. During their studies, students are also encouraged to study abroad as exchange students at nearly 300 sister schools in various countries to broaden their international horizons. It is hoped that our students will not only have professional and practical skills, but also have peer competitiveness in the country. It is also hoped that they can be trained to become international professionals who can work with professionals from different cultural backgrounds and countries in multinational companies or enterprises.
