Highlights

Spacious and Beautiful Campus Environment

As a national green demonstration university, it was voted the most beautiful university in Taiwan by “Yahoo! Kimo”. The campus buildings were planned by architect C.Y. Lee, the architect of Taipei 101, and cover an area of 130 hectares. Flowers bloom all year round, and the lawns are lush. It was the filming location for the TV series 《Meteor Garden》 and the movie 《KANO》. The sports facilities are complete, with an Olympic-standard swimming pool, climbing wall, archery range, golf practice range, and various ball courts. It is a very suitable learning environment for physical and mental development.

Differences from Universities in Hong Kong and Macau

Respect for academic freedom and diverse values, providing a healthy academic environment for teachers and students to fully develop. After the Sunflower Movement in 2014, in order to promote the concept of upholding academic freedom, an “Academic Freedom Monument” was established on the lawn of the College of Social Sciences, hoping to remind intellectuals of their responsibility to social reform.
