Introduction
— Continuing the century-old history of Kainan Business and Industry School, the university department was founded in 2000.
— Located in Taoyuan Aerotropolis, close to Taipei, with international airport, high-speed rail, Taiwan Railway and highways nearby, the transportation is convenient. The campus architecture is beautiful, designed by the same designer as Taipei 101 and Kaohsiung 85 Building, and is a filming location for many idol dramas.
— International development and complete teaching environment.
— There are the College of Business, College of Tourism and Transportation, College of Information, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, College of Law, and College of Healthcare Management, with 6 colleges and 16 high-quality departments.

International Exchange and Cooperation
— Signed dual degree programs with the University of Wisconsin, Toyama University in Japan, and Sapporo International University in Japan. — Established academic cooperation and exchanges with 180 universities in 25 countries.
— International sister school prestigious schools: University of Wisconsin-River Falls, San Diego State University, Inha University in South Korea, Ochanomizu University in Japan, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, International Christian University, etc. The number of students going to Japan for exchange studies is the highest in Taiwan.

1. There is an international student service center dedicated to taking care of international students’ lives.

4. Starting from the 111th academic year, a foreign student buddy program will be implemented to recruit outstanding local students to assist international students in professional learning and integrate into life. Highlights
Solid international mobility
Our school currently has as many as 180 sister schools, and has also established sister school relationships with universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Austria, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, China, Malaysia, Australia, Vietnam and Hungary to conduct exchange student studies and visits, sports exchanges and academic exchanges. In order to increase students’ opportunities for overseas exchanges, our school actively contacts top schools in various countries to discuss academic cooperation matters.
Dual degree program
Our school currently has dual degree programs with Sapporo International University in Japan, National Toyama University in Japan, and University of Wisconsin-River Falls in the United States. Students can be awarded degree certificates from both schools after completing the study regulations of both schools respectively, so as to cultivate students’ macro vision and enhance their international competitiveness.

No. 1 in Taiwan for Japanese exchange
Our school has a deep relationship with Japan, and the number of Japanese exchanges is the first in Taiwan. Based on the deep foundation of exchanges with Japan, there are a total of 53 sister schools in Japan (including National Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, National Okayama University, and public International Christian University, etc., which are selected by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology as global leading universities), of which there are a total of 37 exchange student programs, providing a total of up to 120 or more exchange places to Japan each academic year.
The nation’s first bachelor’s degree program 3+1; master’s degree program 1+1 study abroad mechanism.
Bachelor’s degree students study at the school for 3 years and study abroad for 1 year; master’s degree students study at the school for 1 year and study abroad for 1 year. Tuition and miscellaneous fees at Japanese sister schools are waived during the study abroad period, and only Kainan University tuition fees need to be paid.
Synchronized with Europe, America, Japan and Korea, the only platform in Taoyuan, Taiwan to build a dream film and performance life
1. Film practice shooting: One of the most important learning methods in this department. After learning basic knowledge in class, students actually form a shooting crew, use Hollywood methods and professional division of labor, and use the film-level professional equipment provided by the department to carry out shooting work. A complete presentation of a work from pre-planning, shooting execution stage, to post-production editing. This department focuses on film shooting, and also dabbles in the advertising and MV production expertise that the industry needs very much.
2. Holding film festivals and encouraging participation: An important activity of this department. The department will hold three work achievement exhibitions and competitions every semester to comment on and guide students’ works. In addition, students are also required to participate in various large and small film festivals outside the school to hone their skills and observe the works of related industry professionals. The photo shows the award ceremony of the micro-film competition awarded by the Ministry of Education to film students this year.
3. Industry-academia cooperation with film and television companies: Industry-academia cooperation with many large film and television companies. Taiwan’s first large private television station [FTV] cooperates with Kainan University, and sends students to intern every year. In 2023, the film [The Bridge Curse 2] was filmed at Kainan University, and many film students went to serve as interns in the crew.
