Introduction
CHU was founded in 1990 and is located in Hsinchu City, known as both the City of Happiness and the Silicon Valley of Taiwan. CHU is not only a teaching-oriented university with high employment rates, high salaries, and high corporate satisfaction among its graduates, but it has also been ranked among the top 350 universities in Asia for two consecutive years since 2017, out of more than 10,000 universities in the region, and is also ranked among the top 10 comprehensive private universities in Taiwan.
The school is positioned as a university with a dual focus on quality teaching and industry-academia collaboration. “Quality teaching” aims to enhance students’ learning motivation, strengthen their foreign language skills and international perspectives, and increase their employment advantages. “Industry-academia collaboration” focuses on expanding student internships and obtaining professional certifications, and cultivating talents with workplace competitiveness through industry mentor teaching and curriculum learning. At the same time, it promotes close cooperation between teachers and industry to strengthen the effectiveness of industry-academia collaboration.
A Career-Focused University Excelling in Three Core Strengths
According to the latest surveys by the Ministry of Education, 104 Job Bank, and 1111 Job Bank, CHU graduates have demonstrated three high achievements: high employment rate, high salary, and high corporate satisfaction.
Among them, the employment rate of our school’s students ranks first among comprehensive universities subsidized by the Ministry of Education for teaching excellence. According to 104 Job Bank statistics, the average salary of more than half of the graduates is higher than the average salary of graduates from private universities nationwide, and it has been ranked among the top 10 private universities most satisfied by enterprises in the 1111 Job Bank for five consecutive years.
The only private university in the Hsinchu-Miaoli area with dual international AACSB and IEET accreditation
The first private university in Taiwan to obtain the new system certification of the American International AACSB, the College of Management ranks among the top 5% of business schools in the world. CHU is the only private university in the Hsinchu-Miaoli area to be accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET). Students’ degrees and credits can be recognized globally.
Our College of Management is not only among the top 5% of business schools in the world, but in the 2020 QS rankings by the British higher education survey company, our school jumped to the top 450 universities in Asia and is also ranked 9th among comprehensive private universities in Taiwan.
Strong cross-disciplinary (π) learning and employment ability
In order to strengthen students’ employment competitiveness, the school promotes cross-disciplinary learning, cultivates students’ second expertise through cross-disciplinary employment programs co-organized with enterprises, cross-college experience micro-credits, and the requirement to take 9 credits from other departments.
Highlights
Microsoft AI Academy
The AI wave is coming! Not only are human lifestyles being subverted, but major industries are also actively using AI to enhance data value and transformation, and the pace of cultivating local AI talents is even more urgent. CHU and Microsoft Taiwan announced a deepening of their cooperation and jointly established Taiwan’s first industry-academia-linked “Microsoft AI Academy” that teaches AI technology and practical courses.
AI+ Artificial Intelligence Experience Learning
