School Introduction

Kun Shan University was founded in 1965. Upholding the school motto of “Sincerity, Simplicity, Respect, and Dedication,” it is committed to cultivating technical professionals with both professional skills and humanistic values. In 2000, it was approved by the Ministry of Education to be renamed as a University of Science and Technology. It now has four colleges: the College of Engineering, the College of Smart Living Management, the College of Creative Media, and the International College. The departments and graduate institutes cover diverse fields such as science and engineering, design, management, and languages. The curriculum is designed to balance theory and practice, and actively promotes industry-academia collaboration and technological innovation to enhance students’ professional skills and employability.

In response to national development priorities and global industrial changes, Kun Shan University continues to enhance its applied science and technology capabilities, and emphasizes the cultivation of humanistic spirit, creative thinking, and global perspective. With economic development, social openness, and changes in industrial structure, science and technology education particularly emphasizes the cultivation of professional talents.
