Highlights
Promote overseas learning and cultivate international mobility
Our university, together with Fo Guang University in Yilan, University of the West in the United States, Nan Tien Institute in Australia, and Guang Ming College in the Philippines, which are part of the Fo Guang Shan education system, has jointly established the “Fo Guang Shan University System”, which is the first cross-national joint university system in Taiwan. It combines the advantages of the five universities to provide diversified resources and broaden students’ international horizons.
The 2+2 dual degree program is a major innovation in Taiwan. Students can study at Nanhua University in Taiwan and the University of the West in the United States within the university system and obtain bachelor’s degrees from two countries. This program promotes exchanges and integration between universities in the system and allows students from the five universities to enjoy the teaching resources of the five universities.
Students’ overseas learning is very diverse. Students participate in overseas learning and international conferences, and can go abroad for various types of learning through exchange learning at overseas sister schools, the “2+2” program in the United States, the “3+1” program in the United Kingdom, the “1+1” dual degree program for master’s degrees in the United Kingdom or the United States, overseas study abroad, elite overseas study groups, overseas temple services, and international volunteer programs.
