Highlights
Promoting Overseas Learning and Cultivating Global Mobility
The University actively promotes overseas learning to enhance students’ global mobility and international competitiveness. Together with Fo Guang University (Yilan, Taiwan), University of the West (USA), Nan Tien Institute (Australia), and Guang Ming College (Philippines) under the Fo Guang Shan education system, the University has established the Fo Guang Shan University Consortium. This pioneering cross-national university alliance, the first of its kind in Taiwan, integrates the strengths and resources of five institutions to provide diversified academic opportunities and broaden students’ global perspectives.
The 2+2 Dual Degree Program is a landmark initiative in Taiwan. Through this program, students may study at Nanhua University (Taiwan) and University of the West (USA) within the system and earn bachelor’s degrees from two countries. This initiative promotes academic integration and exchange among the system universities, allowing students from all five institutions to share and benefit from the collective teaching and learning resources.
The University offers a wide range of overseas learning opportunities. Students may participate in international conferences, overseas exchange programs with partner universities, dual-degree programs such as the U.S. 2+2, U.K. 3+1, and U.K./U.S. master’s 1+1 programs, as well as overseas field studies, elite overseas study groups, overseas service programs at Fo Guang Shan branches, and international volunteer initiatives, enabling diverse forms of global learning experiences.
Promoting Industry–Academia Collaboration
The University has established industry–academia collaboration agreements with 938 high-quality enterprises, providing students with internship and employment opportunities. By actively strengthening partnerships with public and private enterprises and institutions, the University seeks to promote industrial development, facilitate the accumulation and dissemination of knowledge, and fully realize its educational, training, and service missions.
