Industry-Academia Links: Employment Upon Graduation

Located in close proximity to the Hsinchu Science Park and the Hsinchu Industrial Park, MUST benefits from abundant and diverse industry–academia resources. Its greatest strengths lie in industry-oriented practical teaching and deep integration with industry, supported by a strong and widely distributed network of outstanding alumni. The University ranks first in graduate employment rates in the Taoyuan–Hsinchu–Miaoli region and among the top five nationwide, earning high recognition and praise from industry for its excellent teaching outcomes.

MUST offers flexible, interdisciplinary curricula, including cross-college interdisciplinary programs, to enhance talent development adaptability. Teaching is closely integrated with research and industry internships. Leveraging local industrial advantages, the University has established a Semiconductor Packaging and Testing Industry Alliance and formed industry–academia partnerships with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) and seven industrial parks across the Taoyuan–Hsinchu–Miaoli region, creating an industry-university cluster. These initiatives provide faculty and students with platforms for research and internships, effectively linking education with employment networks and ensuring clear internship opportunities and career pathways—enabling students to transition directly into employment upon graduation!

Vibrant Student Clubs

MUST has over 80 student clubs, belonging to five different categories: autonomous, service-oriented, recreational, academic, and athletic.

Every Wednesday from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM is the common activity time for clubs. Students can fully demonstrate their creativity and vitality in their spare time, holding various exciting activities such as sports competitions, camp activities, club performance exhibitions, etc., which not only effectively relieve students’ academic pressure but also add rich colors to Minghsin campus life.

Rich and Diverse Sports Facilities

MUST’s physical education courses mainly aim to cultivate students with both academic excellence and sound character, fostering a spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork. The university has complete sports venues and facilities, covering all corners of the campus.

Outdoor venues include: track and field, baseball field, eight basketball courts, four volleyball courts, two beach volleyball courts, and four tennis courts; indoor spaces include: swimming pool, bowling alley, dance classroom, table tennis classroom, combat classroom, fitness center, billiards classroom, and a comprehensive gymnasium, which can accommodate eight badminton courts, basketball, and volleyball courts.

Highlights

Taiwan’s First Teaching Site for Semiconductor Packaging and Testing Talents

According to a 2020 analysis by 104 Job Bank, MUST graduates are the most sought-after for interviews in the highly valuable semiconductor industry, making it the top choice for semiconductor industry recruitment, ranking ahead of NCKU, NCTU, and NTUST.

MUST combines the local characteristics of the Hsinchu semiconductor packaging and testing industry cluster to establish the “Semiconductor Packaging and Testing Industry Alliance,” offer the “2+2N Packaging and Testing Industry Elite Program,” cooperate with the industry on the “Industry Academy” program, and receive subsidies from the Ministry of Education’s Practical Environment Project for optimizing vocational colleges.

We have built Taiwan’s first “Semiconductor Packaging and Testing Class Production Line teaching environment on campus, replicating the production line environment of semiconductor factories, bringing technology factories into the campus, with industry-level testing machines, measurement equipment, and complete QFN packaging mass production systems, allowing students to familiarize themselves with the industry’s operating environment and machinery and equipment at school, and introducing “smart manufacturing” technology and applications, providing students with a job-oriented practical teaching environment. Therefore, the graduates meet the talent needs of the industry and have become the preferred school for semiconductor industry recruitment.
